The Royal Palace

The Royal Palace of Madrid has long been inhabited by the royal families. This is no longer the case today, but some protocol events are held. It's also a real museum open to tourists.

Every Wednesday morning, for example you can see the Changing of the Guard at the monument. The palace also hosts during the "Hispanidad" National Day of Spain. Finally, some hearings and royal dinners take place within these walls.

The architecture of this residence was inspired by the Louvre. It has a courtyard surrounded by buildings and a parade. An art gallery features 70 paintings, mostly from Spanish painters. It was set up in room 9 of the palace, which includes dozens spread over 6 floors. There are also richly decorated gardens.

The Royal Palace is open every day between October and March from 9:30 to 17h and from 9am to 18pm the rest of the year. On Sundays and holidays, the palace closes at 14 or 15 hours
