St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral dominates the City, the famous business district of London. Its dome and baroque spiers were designed to be seen from afar. There are also classical elements in the architecture of this monument. This mix gives it some uniqueness.

The cathedral is open to the public in part. You can climb to the second floor to get a view of the surrounding neighborhoods. The gallery whispers inside the Dome, is also a must. Issued a whisper on one side could be distinctly heard on the other ... 34 meters away.

The building was built in the seventeenth century by the English architect Christopher Wren. It replaced another church, destroyed by the Great Fire of London in 1666 would have been one of the most beautiful monuments of Norman architecture ...
